Why a Reunion Cruise?
Have you ever wondered why we have not had more reunions when everyone agrees that it is a good idea?
The reason is due to the difficulty in doing one. If you have ever tried organizing a reunion what eventually happens is that the responsibility usually falls on the back of one person. Most reunions are usually not just for one day, but involves a series of events over a period of a few days, like a dance and a picnic and maybe breakfast, all of which require venues, music, catering, and promotion.
The easiest way to have a reunion is on a cruise. No planning is required as all of the above are all included. In addition, the cruise line will make a contribution to the charity of your choice, which is this case is STGCFL which is an approved charity by the IRS.
A cruise also gives you the opportunity to spend quality time with those you have not seen in a long time, as you will be having 15 meals during the cruise.
It does take a travel agent with experience in groups to organize one.

Where do we begin?
We have used Carnival for fundraising cruises as they have a written policy to support non-profit organizations as their way of contributing back to the community. The organization must be an approved non-profit registered with the IRS under section 501C3.
Why did we choose this date?
For 2 reasons -
The primary one being pricing. Summer rates June to August are the highest with the cruise lines, as schools are out. Feb to May and Sep to Nov are usually the lowest. It is outside the hurricane season.
Unfortunately, September to November is still in hurricane season.
